JOB TITLE:        Accounts Payable Specialist

REPORTS TO:   Accounting Manager

SUMMARY:  Compiles, processes, and maintains accounts payable records

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Receives, processes, verifies, and reconciles invoices.
  • Processes payments and files paid invoices.
  • Verifies vendor accounts, resolving purchase order, invoice, or payment discrepancies.  
  • Investigates and processes past due notices, credits due, and deductions.
  • Assists other members of the Accounting Department in accounting projects.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:  Prior experience in accounts payable or general accounting environment is preferred.  Keen attention to detail, time management and organization skills, and collaboration and communication abilities are essential for this position.
